Dr. Christopher M. Loftis is a fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in shoulder surgery.

Dr. Loftis grew up in Nashville, TN. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Harding University in Searcy, AR in 2012. He was selected to the Alphi Chi Collegiate Honors Society during his time there. He received his medical degree from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine in Memphis, Tennessee in 2016. There he was elected to serve as a member of his class leadership. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Missouri where he was selected as Administrative Chief Resident during his final year. For subspecialty training in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, he completed an additional fellowship at the prestigious Texas Education and Research Foundation for Shoulder and Elbow Surgery in Houston, TX under Dr. T. Bradley Edwards.

Dr. Loftis has published multiple journal articles, book chapters, and surgical videos. He has presented research in shoulder and elbow surgery at national meetings. Dr. Loftis has a focus on shoulder and elbow injuries. He sees patients of all ages, treating conditions such as rotator cuff injuries, arthritis of the shoulder, rotator cuff tear arthropathy, shoulder instability, labral tears, biceps tendonitis, elbow arthritis, elbow stiffness, as well as fractures of the shoulder, upper arm, and elbow.

In his spare time, Dr. Loftis enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, running, and hiking in National Parks. He enjoys being an active participant in his church and community.
